It is a society for the beginner and experienced genealogist alike. The Society is a member of the Federation of Family History Societies and exchanges journals with many other UK and overseas genealogical societies, which are adding to the rapidly growing library. Regular project work is carried out by members of the society. Work is published on completion, usually on CD or fiche, for sale through the bookstall.
The journal 'The Huntsman' is published three times a year; March, July and November. It contains a wide range of articles, news from the County Record Office, The National Archives at Kew, London, as well as news from the Federation of Family History Societies and other county societies. Other regular features include new members' interests, a help/exchange column and details of new fiche that the society has published.
